Pings Flags Reports Health

Real-Time Health Status

Every phone number from someone you're dating gets a live health status based on how many other people are also talking to them right now.

Clear

1-2 pings

You're likely the only one they're talking to. Normal early dating.

Elevated

3-5 pings

They're talking to a few people. Typical roster behavior in modern dating.

High Volume

6-10 pings

Juggling a lot of people. Unlikely to be serious about any one person.

Critical

10+ pings

Major red flag. Possible catfish, romance scammer, or fake profile.

How Pinged Works

Pinged is built for dating — not stalking. Every feature has a built-in expiration to keep data fresh, protect privacy, and prevent misuse.

24 hours

Daily Check-In

Still talking to that person from Hinge? Tap 'Still Talking' daily to keep your ping active. If you stop checking in, it drops automatically — because if you're not talking anymore, there's no reason to monitor.

30 days

Max Monitor Duration

You can monitor someone you're dating for up to 30 days. That's enough time to see if they're exclusively talking to you — without enabling long-term surveillance. After 30 days, the ping auto-expires and a cooldown begins.

30 days

Cooldown Period

After you stop monitoring someone you're dating, you must wait 30 days before monitoring them again — but you can still search and monitor their status anytime. This prevents obsessive monitoring while still letting you stay informed and re-check if you start talking again later.

10 days

Ghosting & Behavior Badges

If 3+ people independently report someone for ghosting, using burner numbers, or catfishing within a 90-day window, they earn a warning badge. These are patterns — not one bad date. If someone is ghosting 3+ people in 90 days, the dating community deserves to know. Badges expire after 10 days.

5 days

Dating App Flags

Spotted someone you're dating still active on Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Messenger, or Instagram? Flag their number. Other people dating that person can see the flags. Each flag expires after 5 days and is locked — you can't unflag or re-flag until it expires.

One-time

Phone Verification

Every account must verify a real phone number. One phone per account — this prevents exes or trolls from creating fake accounts to manipulate someone's status.

Always

Fully Anonymous

The person you're dating never knows you checked their number. Your identity stays completely hidden. No names, no photos — just peace of mind while you're getting to know someone.

30-day window

Historical Heat Maps

See 30-day trend lines for anyone you're dating. Spot patterns like weekend spikes (club nights?) or sudden surges when they need space.

Per-flag expiry

How Flags Work

Every dating app flag is visible immediately — even a single report. Each flag expires 5 days after it was placed. Example: 1 Instagram flag on Monday expires Saturday. A Messenger flag on Tuesday expires Sunday. Flags stack and fall off independently, so you always see what's current.
